Small oil refinery assessment produces path toward profitability
Our client operates oil fields, a refinery, and a local distribution network. The refinery has a capacity of 16,000 barrels per day and uses a young local workforce in combination with experienced ex-pat personnel.
The company expanded its previous operations but has not been able to generate sustainable profits. Access to experienced local operators, supervisors, engineers, and managers has affected the operations negatively and the knowledge transfer between experienced petrochemical specialists and the local workforce has been slow.
