IX® in Action
Our baked goods manufacturing client’s Work Management processes needed to be improved and institutionalized across the entire enterprise to move from a reactive organization and toward a proactive culture. Our client partnered with IE to implement Work Management and activities during IX® included:
- Implemented Work Identification and prioritization to ensure that we are doing the right work at the right time
- Implemented Work Planning process to drive efficiency and effectiveness in planned repairs
- Developed planned job library consisting of precision maintenance tasks and techniques to drive down MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) and increase MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure)
- Coordinated Work Scheduling with production schedules to ensure execution of preventive and corrective work that had been prioritized and staffed accordingly
- Implemented detailed daily and weekly schedules with delay and short interval control processes
- Developed Work Execution process to drive improvements in resource utilization and precision repairs
- Implemented Work Closeout processes to ensure that all pertinent information is captured and stored for future decisions and improvements
- Conducted Asset Criticality workshop and developed Asset Criticality Process
