Implementation Engineers works with clients to implement and enhance Management Operating Systems through our High Performance Management (HPM) practice. This work embeds structure and consistency in the operating model to migrate from a reactive to a proactive state, and drive stability and performance improvement on a shift-to-shift basis. At Implementation Engineers, we look at these management systems with a three-pillar approach: Structure, Tools, and Behaviors. Structurally, we work with clients to implement or enhance the tiered Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle, starting with Tier 1 shop floor meetings up through the Annual Operating Plans, with short interval controls and structured cadences at each level. We equip the layers of the organization with better tools, such as Leader Standard Work and visual management, and integrate these tools into the tiered management structure to ensure the right KPIs are supporting good decision making and action follow up. Lastly, and most importantly, we coach and mentor personnel in the effective use of these structures and tools to ensure behavioral migration along the improvement journey. This all ties into a shift-to-shift, day-to-day, and week-to-week production drumbeat, and becomes a core foundation to further continuous improvement efforts. As companies embark on change and improvement transformation the operating system becomes a critical sustainability component as a control mechanism, and enables an organization to become more resilient to workforce turnover.
