Our client, a gold producer located in Brazil, had Supply Fulfillment processes and procedures that did not allow users to respond quickly to a user’s material needs without increased expediting costs and users did not have visibility into the material status. Activities during IX® included:
- Optimized paperwork and signature processes required to place a purchase order or a contract
- Reduced delays resulting from the invoice classification process
- Optimized warehouse requisitioning processes
- Reduce excessive time to get low value, high volume items to the maintenance point-of-use
- Implemented fast track process for items not in stock
- Developed process to incorporate Long Term Demand plan in Supply and Inventory plan
