Implementation University
Enhance Your Organizations Implementation Capability

Over time many companies lose their implementation capability.
As a result, 70% of strategic initiatives fail to deliver the intended value.
We call this Unintended Marginalization.
We partner with organizations to enhance organizational implementation capabilities

Implementation Engineering
During the Implementation Engineering phase we teach your people how to assess the current state of the business from a holistic systems-based lens and develop the future state vision. This involves:
- Gathering and analyzing data
- Capturing data as needed through observation and other techniques
- Synthesize findings to define and understand current state performance, and key cross-functional linkages
- Develop and prioritize project plans into an overall program approach to address current state gaps into a desired future state
Implementation Planning & Readiness
Implementation Planning & Readiness prepares the organization for execution and change. It is an often overlooked component of the improvement cycle, and is critical to ensure an effective program start. This includes:
- Develop project and work stream activities and milestones
- Refine and validate program business case and ROI
- Develop program governance and key metrics to measure program performance against
- Resource projects appropriately
- Execute communication plan to the broader organization
Implementation Execution
Implementation Execution is where the rubber meets the road. Here the Implementation Engineers and client teams jointly execute projects to drive momentum and results. Initially, Implementation Engineers will take a leading role in facilitating project execution, and over time move into a coaching role as client project leaders increasingly drive the program. By the end of the engagement, the client is equipped to continue on further improvement projects, and begin the next wave of opportunity identification.

Six Sigma Leadership Training
In this Leadership Training program, we introduce leaders and key stakeholders to concepts that may be new to them with regards to supporting a Six Sigma culture. We review why Six Sigma is important and what benefits will be achieved when Six Sigma is integrated into the company. The new roles and responsibilities required to support a problem solving culture where Lean Six Sigma is applied, is discussed and an overview of some of the tools and techniques that will be used is reviewed.

In this training you will learn:
- Lean and Six Sigma concepts
- Roles, responsibilities, and leadership of Six Sigma programs
- Proper project selection for application based on the program being executed
- Change management to support the changing operating environment
- Program governance to track and ensure project/program success
Six Sigma Green Belt
Lean Six Sigma is an overall business improvement methodology that uses data to measure, analyze, improve, and control operational performance through the reduction of variation. Within the Green Belt (GB) program, we focus on the application of problem solving processes and statistical concepts to address variation and achieve process improvements in a relatively short time period. We require top leadership support for the program and focus the learning towards application on real business issues. Our typical GB learning candidates, are high potential employees whose company is willing to invest in their knowledge, skills, and abilities for future benefit returns. For best results, we highly recommend each GB have a project they will work on to reinforce the learning and give back to the business.

In our typical eight to ten day training program crossing three to four months, you will learn:
- How to apply Six Sigma to real business issues via the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) process
- How to map processes through a variety of techniques like SIPOC and Process Mapping
- The benefits of Failure Mode, Effects Analysis and how to conduct it
- The application of Basic Statistics (Minitab)
- Purpose and application of conducting statistical analytics (Measurement Systems Analysis, Capability Analysis, Hypothesis testing, Correlation, etc.)
- Implementing changes and sustaining results
Six Sigma Black Belt
Lean Six Sigma is an overall business improvement methodology that uses data to measure, analyze, improve, and control operational performance through the reduction of variation. The Black Belt (BB) program is a step up from the Green Belt (GB) program in that it includes most of the same modules but we add more analytical, statistical, and control tools. The company issues more suited for BB attention are those that require deeper problem solving techniques to address the root causes and thus, require most robust techniques. It is imperative that each BB have a project they work on to reinforce the learning and give back to the business.
We also require top leadership support for the program and focus the learning towards application on real business issues. We pace the learning so that application is completed before new learning is given so this program can spread across months with results targeted within half a year. Our typical BB learning candidates, are high potential employees whose company is willing to invest in their knowledge, skills, and abilities for future benefit returns.
You will learn:
- How to apply Six Sigma to real business issues via the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) process
- How to map processes through a variety of techniques like SIPOC and Process Mapping
- The benefits of Failure Mode, Effects Analysis and how to conduct it
- The application of Basic Statistics (Minitab)
- Purpose and application of conducting statistical analytics (Measurement Systems Analysis, Capability Analysis, Hypothesis testing, Correlation, Statistical Process Control, etc.)
- Purpose and application of conducting more robust root cause analysis techniques (Design of experiments, Regression, Single Minute Exchange, etc.)
- Implementing changes and sustaining results
Six Sigma Master Black Belt
The Master Black Belt (MBB) program is reserved for certified Six Sigma Black Belts who have demonstrated the technical knowledge and leadership competencies to lead the strategic deployment of a Six Sigma program. They are expected to promote and manage the program, mentor / coach Leadership Champions, train on any aspect of Six Sigma, and mentor / coach lower level belts through their project application journey – supporting the closure of projects and bringing results/benefits back to the organization. Our typical MBB candidate, is a high potential employee not only within the organization but within Six Sigma application.
If you want to increase your Six Sigma skills and learn how to develop Problem Solving leaders, and train, coach, guide, and manage continuous improvement efforts, this program is for you.

Through this program you will obtain skills in:

In our typical five day program, you will learn:
- How to identify the Visual Factory
- How to complete Value Stream Mapping
- The differences and benefits of Continuous Flow and Pull Production
- The Power of Kaizen (preparation, execution, and follow-up)
We recommend adding a Kaizen event to the formal learning, for hands on application and benefits return.
Basic Problem Solving
The Basic (7-Step) Problem Solving program, covers basic approaches to any simple problem situation to facilitate quick change. We leverage and thread your actual problem situations into the learning so you apply and solve, as we progress through the modules.
You will learn how to:
- Identify issues and opportunities within your business operations
- Define your business interests
- Identify possible solutions/alternatives/options to the situation
- Prioritize solutions/alternatives/options to the opportunity(ies)
- Document outcomes, decisions, and proposed solution(s)
- Assess risks and contingencies
- Implement, monitor and evaluate the process and business results
How Our Training Works

At Implementation Engineers we believe in using positive psychology to stimulate neurological transformation and therefore behavior change. We have also found that many organizations wish to improve their own in-house capability around coaching. To this end, we offer organizations a train-the-trainer program whereby we develop managers to become better at coaching.
Please identify a specific program you are looking for or let us know what issues your company may be facing and we can recommend a program that best suits the need
