Six Sigma Green Belt
Lean Six Sigma is an overall business improvement methodology that uses data to measure, analyze, improve, and control operational performance through the reduction of variation. Within the Green Belt (GB) program, we focus on the application of problem solving processes and statistical concepts to address variation and achieve process improvements in a relatively short time period. We require top leadership support for the program and focus the learning towards application on real business issues. Our typical GB learning candidates, are high potential employees whose company is willing to invest in their knowledge, skills, and abilities for future benefit returns. For best results, we highly recommend each GB have a project they will work on to reinforce the learning and give back to the business.

In our typical eight to ten day training program crossing three to four months, you will learn:
- How to apply Six Sigma to real business issues via the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) process
- How to map processes through a variety of techniques like SIPOC and Process Mapping
- The benefits of Failure Mode, Effects Analysis and how to conduct it
- The application of Basic Statistics (Minitab)
- Purpose and application of conducting statistical analytics (Measurement Systems Analysis, Capability Analysis, Hypothesis testing, Correlation, etc.)
- Implementing changes and sustaining results
Six Sigma Black Belt
Lean Six Sigma is an overall business improvement methodology that uses data to measure, analyze, improve, and control operational performance through the reduction of variation. The Black Belt (BB) program is a step up from the Green Belt (GB) program in that it includes most of the same modules but we add more analytical, statistical, and control tools. The company issues more suited for BB attention are those that require deeper problem solving techniques to address the root causes and thus, require most robust techniques. It is imperative that each BB have a project they work on to reinforce the learning and give back to the business.
We also require top leadership support for the program and focus the learning towards application on real business issues. We pace the learning so that application is completed before new learning is given so this program can spread across months with results targeted within half a year. Our typical BB learning candidates, are high potential employees whose company is willing to invest in their knowledge, skills, and abilities for future benefit returns.
You will learn:
- How to apply Six Sigma to real business issues via the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) process
- How to map processes through a variety of techniques like SIPOC and Process Mapping
- The benefits of Failure Mode, Effects Analysis and how to conduct it
- The application of Basic Statistics (Minitab)
- Purpose and application of conducting statistical analytics (Measurement Systems Analysis, Capability Analysis, Hypothesis testing, Correlation, Statistical Process Control, etc.)
- Purpose and application of conducting more robust root cause analysis techniques (Design of experiments, Regression, Single Minute Exchange, etc.)
- Implementing changes and sustaining results
Six Sigma Master Black Belt
The Master Black Belt (MBB) program is reserved for certified Six Sigma Black Belts who have demonstrated the technical knowledge and leadership competencies to lead the strategic deployment of a Six Sigma program. They are expected to promote and manage the program, mentor / coach Leadership Champions, train on any aspect of Six Sigma, and mentor / coach lower level belts through their project application journey – supporting the closure of projects and bringing results/benefits back to the organization. Our typical MBB candidate, is a high potential employee not only within the organization but within Six Sigma application.
If you want to increase your Six Sigma skills and learn how to develop Problem Solving leaders, and train, coach, guide, and manage continuous improvement efforts, this program is for you.

Through this program you will obtain skills in:
- The application of advanced statistics within the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) and the Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) processes
- Leadership
- Coaching and mentoring
- Training/Instructing Six Sigma topics through our Train-the-Trainer program

Lean / Kaizen
In the Lean journey program, we cover the foundational elements of what a Lean environment is and how to achieve it through the systematic elimination of waste while creating a customer centric environment that allows you to produce effectively and efficiently.
In our typical five day program, you will learn:
- How to identify the Visual Factory
- How to complete Value Stream Mapping
- The differences and benefits of Continuous Flow and Pull Production
- The Power of Kaizen (preparation, execution, and follow-up)
We recommend adding a Kaizen event to the formal learning, for hands on application and benefits return.
Basic Problem Solving
The Basic (7-Step) Problem Solving program, covers basic approaches to any simple problem situation to facilitate quick change. We leverage and thread your actual problem situations into the learning so you apply and solve, as we progress through the modules.
You will learn how to:
- Identify issues and opportunities within your business operations
- Define your business interests
- Identify possible solutions/alternatives/options to the situation
- Prioritize solutions/alternatives/options to the opportunity(ies)
- Document outcomes, decisions, and proposed solution(s)
- Assess risks and contingencies
- Implement, monitor and evaluate the process and business results
PDEx
Following a PIDOV model (Plan, Identify, Design, Optimize, and Validate), our Product Development Excellence (PDEx) program tends to focus on companies having product development or quality issues. Within these companies, the process is owned by Engineering, but the “customer” is typically manufacturing, who has to live with the design, and the “end customer”, who has to live with product and organizational performance to that design.
This intensive program will span a couple of months with application periods in between the formal learning. You will learn to:

- Plan the structure for successful change deployment
- Analyze current state environment with internal and external data with a focus on Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)
- Identify various design considerations and impact while developing an assessment committee to review and approve design changes
- Identify the purpose and application of various analysis techniques such as: Voice of the Customer (VOC), Qualify Function Deployment (QFD), Design/Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DMEA/FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Process Capability, Reliability, Tolerance, Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Quantify the impact or change to the current state environment
- Establish systems for controlling variation in product quality and sustaining results
High Performance Management (HPM) Systems
Management Systems exist wherever processes exist – this could be for an organization as a whole or a specific department or business unit. The Management System encompasses management activities that control and change or improve a process or business unit. The main structural elements of a management system are typically Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), information flow and decision making through meetings and reports. Our High Performance Management (HPM) program encompasses those and more.
To effectively support a management system change, just teaching topics won’t suffice so we encompass the learning as appropriate to the need. We conduct a study of your Organization to assess opportunities and gaps. When/Where gaps are found, we co-create and implement a robust system that provides feedback on actual business performance through accurate and readily available data. This data provides the opportunity to make day to day business decisions (“management activities”) that control, change or improve the process or a Business Unit. Thus, it provides a structured and disciplined platform for planning, executing, measuring, analyzing, learning and improving you sites capabilities.
Upon the results of the study, we select the most applicable elements for change and include those learning programs as part of the implementation. A sample of those topics may include:
- Steps in building a complete management system
- Establishing the level of implementation readiness, then assessing/monitoring for sustaining of change
- Proper planning elements, roles and responsibility planning, meeting effectiveness and action/decision tracking
- Designing and implementing daily/weekly operating reports
- Short interval controls with visual management
High Performance Program (HPP)
A complement to our High Performance Management (HPM) program is our High Performance Program (HPP). The program focuses on coaching for awareness of behavior and impact on results due to those behavioral changes through focusing on one’s ability to adopt to new behaviors and practice new interventions.
Through this program you will obtain many skills supporting high performance execution with just a few highlighted ones below:
- Objective setting and planning
- Establishing effective communication means and methods to include effective meetings with action/decision logs
- Defining roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities (RACI)
- Building effective teams with trust and transparency
Requisite Organization (RO)
Our Requisite Organization (RO) training program helps a company build accountability structures and related systems to provide a framework for sustained high performance working relationships and long term business effectiveness. This program complements our High Performance Management (HPM) program but focuses on actual organizational reporting structure changes in order to support and enable a more effective HPM culture.
Through a workshop, apply, coach, assess, and reinforce approach to the learning transfer, you will walk away with:
- Techniques to assess and redesign work structures and levels
- The ability to properly identify, document, track, and assess key roles and critical capabilities
- An understanding of Requisite Managerial Leadership Practices and sustainability for the change
How Our Training Works

At Implementation Engineers we believe in using positive psychology to stimulate neurological transformation and therefore behavior change. We have also found that many organizations wish to improve their own in-house capability around coaching. To this end, we offer organizations a train-the-trainer program whereby we develop managers to become better at coaching.
