Moreover, we also partner with clients to develop and execute strategies, redesigns, or improvements to existing facility networks, including development of technology roadmaps, enhancement of demand fulfillment capabilities, and implementation of advanced inventory management practices.

IX® in Action
We partnered with an industrial truck manufacturer to determine the optimal location of a new assembly and distribution facility. Our task was to minimize transportation costs while maintaining service levels. Implementation Engineers integrated key supplier and customer location data, projected inbound and demand volume, and developed multiple cost models to provide alternate location options. IX® included the following activities:
- Gathered relevant data on current warehouse locations, inventory levels, demand patterns, transportation costs, and other key factors that impact warehouse network design
- Used advanced modeling techniques to analyze different scenarios and determine the optimal number of warehouses, their locations, and the distribution of inventory across the network
- Conducted a thorough cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the financial implications of different network design options and identify the most cost-effective solution
- Engaged key stakeholders, including senior management, operations teams, and logistics partners, to ensure alignment and support for the proposed network design
